The WVRx promise — Paperwork is almost non-existent. Standard office filing is the only handling of paperwork in your medical office.

With WVRx, providers can enroll and receive a unique username and password that allows them to register patients in need of prescription medications.

There is no obligation for a provider who uses WVRx. At any time, you can cancel your participation with a phone call.

Each patient signs a liability waiver which protects the provider.

Patients are screened to ensure their need is real and flags those who are eligible for government programs.

West Virginia Rx is designed to provide a continuous stream of free medication for chronic illness and make medication easily accessible to patients throughout West Virginia.

West Virginia Rx requires a $30 annual application processing fee with each application. There is never a charge for the medication.

The web-based West Virginia Rx registration is only available to prescribers and their staff for patient registration. Patients must register through their doctor, clinic, or hospital.
